Dear Mr Edmunds

Under the terms of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order as amended 2010 certain works can be carried out to buildings without the need for planning permission. The impact of a development is not a fact that is considered when determining whether planning permission is required for a development.

More information on available on the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order on the Planning Portal website www.planningportal.gov.uk.

I trust this information is of assistance
