Letter to the Pariamentary Ombudsman, 22nd February 2010
Dear Ombudsman AbrahamHaving written to the PM (8thNov 09) and copied it to you; your Pamela Micallef wrote to us (4th Dec 09), and issued us complaint forms, re our criticisms of the MOD and the Home Office that were mentioned in the PMs letter?
We asked in our reply letter (9th Dec 2009) as to whether you had been ‘commissioned’ or ‘instructed’ to make contact with us. Your office has failed to answer this question; maybe you have forgotten this is a request from a member of the electorate?
For the record, our criticisms of the Home Office are many, one was its issuing of corrupt immigration figures etc, that its failure to deal with foreign criminals etc has led to ‘people trafficking’ that has now turned into ‘slavery’ etc.
One is reminded of John Reid’s conformation of civil servants in general, as he revealed the gross stupidity within the Home Office berating its – inadequate leadership – its inadequate management – and the department as being ‘unfit for purpose.’ It would have been more correct of him to have declared that there was a ‘serious corruption of honest public service by Home Office in general!’
Paddy Ashdown said the MOD was also ‘unfit for purpose’ sclerotic and resistant to change and ‘hamstrung by infighting?’ This further admission gives indication to the swirling sewage forever at the heart of ‘civil servants inability to deliver!
Corruption from many civil servants is widespread throughout all government departments. Hundreds of thousands of pounds having been corruptly trousered by MOD civil servants while the purchasing of inferior equipment caused death and injury to our troops. There was also the ‘crooked’ formation of QuinetiQ that is now the MODs biggest supplier?
You must see that your devious actions protecting corrupt Revenue/VOA staff as in our case, contributes much to ‘poor governance’ - causing the overflowing ‘inner sewage’ to block and foul-up on delivery of government projects.
My wife and I were also subjected to hounding evening telephone calls, set up by you? Gross misuse of power?
Your corrupt defence of Revenue/VOA needs to be seen in the light, that I, a former front line soldier with guts, a war pensioner having fought for democracy, was trampled on by the power of the state.
Having been corruptly handled by you, I continued to fight against public sector corruption, until I eventually faced ‘Orwellian’ government barristers and lawyers? My crime I had dared to fight against corrupt Revenue civil servants!
It seems necessary to point out that recently HM Revenue staff was responsible for nearly 50% of all fraud across the board of some 28 government departments?
Hardly any were prosecuted; this state protection by regulators and ombudsman helps encourage the acts of fraud and corruption within the public sector. You were giving corrupt protection to this enormously crooked department?
The Revenue still shows its prevalence for stupid contempt in relation to its public duty; knowing that its computer system had numerous faults, largely due to human error, it still sent out untold thousands of error stricken Coding Notices.
Vince Cable MP well versed in Revenue perversity and negligence of public duty said ‘ It seems that utter chaos reigns at HMRC which is causing untold distress and confusion to thousands of people up and down the country’. One man is said to have been docked some £500 from his salary because of Coding errors?
Ms Abraham your protection of the corrupt status quo, encourages this sought of idiotic ‘couldn’t give a damn’ attitude by the Revenue and all departments. Your protection of corrupt Revenue staff has only encouraged their ever-growing disregard for honest endeavour.
Its also worth pointing out that within our Decision Notice it was claimed on various pages – some ten times that the corrupt Revenue/VOA were accountable – when they were clearly not! To claim the fraudulent Revenue were accountable ten times within a Decision Notice is serious indication of a public sector cover up – the old pals act - a despotic Decision Notice!
What irritates the electorate and the taxpayer is that Whitehall sustains bureaucratic fraudulence and stupidity as though such deception was allowable on the statute book.
We want to broadcast the amount of stupidity, the amount of deceit and corruption acted out on a daily basis by this ‘unfit for purpose’ civil service `culture.
Incidentally, its interesting to note that another dodgy regulator, the Adjudicator B. Mills, rightly deposed as DPP, having been rebuked in a court of law, has also attempted to get the ‘crooked’ VOA ‘off the hook’. The decrepit combination of ombudsman and adjudicators; giving protection to failing civil servants, has led to untold thousands of public sector ‘victims’ going on the Internet with their genuine grievances.
Edmund Burke said that ‘All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing’ there are eloquent testimonies to its truth. Too many senior officials turn a blind eye to public sector corruption – giving positive guidance to civil servants that corruption will be tolerated,
We like Burke realise the danger of doing nothing, crooked government officials have to be fronted, although they close ranks, and lie in order to protect the abominable status quo! It is precisely this cover-up by ministers, officials, ombudsman, adjudicators and civil servants that has helped demolish the ethics of good governance.
It is this sewage-laden public sector corruption where deceit has helped to hide a continuing crisis where protected civil servants, too often fail to deliver on projects
We are collecting material re ‘Public Sector Corruption’. No doubt you have much evidence re public sector corruption by officials – maybe you would pass some on to us. At the moment we are perusing the question of how tapes and papers relating to corrupt officials were lost in transit within parliament? It is believed that Dr Tony Wright handed them over to Ministers; these incriminating documents against public sector officials vanished? There are so many crooks about; we know you were aware of this parliamentary piece of chicanery - maybe you can throw some light on the matter?
The severe distrust by the electorate of politics Westminster and Whitehall has come about because the public can now see just how corrupt the public sector really is.
I am at the moment studying a report, that crooked civil servants stole £12m in 3 years, through a series of frauds including bogus benefit claims and expenses fiddles, where a 1000 staff were responsible for £4.2m worth of thefts and fiddles in the past year alone. Rising above last year’s corruption figure.
One civil servant banked £350,00 and another cheated a department of £246,400?
The last time this particular department showed so much corruption was in 2002 – now 8 years later 2010, instead of improving things have got much worse – I guess official ‘blind eyed’ treatment, much like yours, is still flowing like a well oiled piece of government corruptive machinery
This continuing corruption of the public purse gives serious indication to the sewage laden government neglect that is ruining the nation. We thought it is important that ombudsman and adjudicators stop getting crooked civil servants ‘off the hook.’
Critics of government machinery are often met with much deceit and lies from official regulators. So much so, that many honest members of the public with genuine grievances are often bewildered by this official skulduggery. Many victims suffering this perverse ‘put down’ machinery are shocked, and at great pains to continue – many complainants unable to carry the mental burden of public sector corruption are forced to give up?
Such is the effect of the governments crooked complaint procedures run by fraudulent officials! This letter of ours is not subject to confidentiality it needs enlightenment.
However, with the help of the Internet, an ever-increasing army of victims of public sector deceit, has taken up the fight against despotic parliamentary officials.
Frighteningly, there are not too many people who think that our system of corrupt parliament is worth saving – Amen.
