OMBUDSMAN WATCHERS RESOURCE CENTRE

Letter to Professors Giddings (Reading) and Drewry (Royal Holloway) 26th April 2007

Dear Professors

Further to my letter 18th January 2007 re problematic Ombudsman service, I enclose two more informative critical letters regarding public sector deceit and Ombudsman involvement.

(1) is to the Information Commissioners Office re FOI etc 5th March 2007 and

(2) Is to the Chancellor Gordon Brown MP re Ombudsman corruption!

We hope the information therein, along with our copied letter 10th Jan 2007 to you, re the Prime Minister, will induce you to take up a much-needed critical stance towards the ever-wayward Ombudsman service.

We hope that your Ombudsman address/lecture will have a degree of academic honesty as opposed to previous academic whitewashing of much decrepit ombudsman deceits within the public sector complaint procedures.

You could also look at the old Parliamentary Ombudsman ‘rule book’ that is so deceitfully engineered on Machiavellian lines that it effectively allows corrupt public sector individuals and departments ‘off the hook’.

We know how ashamed and distraught you will be at our claims of such governmental dishonesty within Whitehall etc – all the more evident that you should investigate the numerous claims re fraudulent Ombudsman activities.

You will have realised what a demoralising knock-on effect such a fraudulent system has on the Freedom of Information Act!  This leaves us in a situation where many miscreant civil servants are unfortunately in control of much information damaging to the public sector?  This should be freely put out into the public domain – we doubt it?

The last time we made contact with you we asked that in the interest of academic honesty you might take note/invite ombudsman critics along to your discussions. We hope you have taken note.  Because of the dire situation within the public sector, with its severe lack of accountability, the British public is now only too aware of the importance and the need of academic accountability!  Professors its up to you!

I remain an honest citizen, a war pensioner distraught at the powerful public sector cover-up industry emboldened and often orchestrated by the ombudsman service and its acolytes!

Yours sincerely

AW & I Tanner

Ps maybe you might consider answering our concerns this time!  (2 encl)
